The Villa – The Interior

A historic villa in the heart of Gravedona (Castello Area), Lake Como

The “Cucinone” – described as the “Fabbrica dell’Oratorio Beata Vergine” in the Mailänder Kataster (1718) – with its monastic-like atmosphere, adds to the luxury desired by Counts Omboni at the end of the XXIII century. In 1839, two statues dedicated by Guido Omboni to his wife Savina Sperati were added to the room.

A historic villa that emanates a sense of “authenticity” thanks to the large ballroom with the magnificent chandelier by Murano master glassmakers, the dining room with its precious majolica tiles, the music room wrapped in a pergola, the reading room, the frescos with vivid colors on the ceilings, the large fireplaces and the typical Lombard terracotta floors.
